Twenty odd years ago, I started my career in what I now realize was a rare environment – a workplace where everyone was learning together, supported by great managers who believed in mentorship and mutual growth. Fresh graduates and first-time professionals, we all cheered each other on, shared knowledge, and grew together.

Two decades and multiple countries later, I’ve realized how fortunate I was to start in such a nurturing environment. My journey has taken me from banking to technology, across Hong Kong, London, the Middle East, and now to Copenhagen. Along the way, I’ve learned that while luck played a part in my early career, professional growth shouldn’t depend on chance encounters with great mentors or supportive teams.
